Mortal Kombat was released in 1992 into Arcades by Midway Games. Acclaim Entertainment kept porting the game to
Fatality
many home consoles. Its extreme violence and graphic content led to the introduction of Age Ratings in videogames.

GameplayEdit

The player must pick a fighter, and must defeat the opponent. There are many basic moves, as well as more complicated moves and combo moves. Upon defeating the opponent, the player may choose to use a Fatality, an gory finishing move.

StoryEdit

In Earthrealm, a Mortal Kombat tournament is taking place at Shang Tsung's island. Shang Tsung attempts to sieze control of the tournament to doom Earthrealm (Where he was banished to 500 years ago). However, his plans are stopped by the winning Kombatant, who defeats him and Goro.
